•Gesinee's Bridal was the very first place I went to try on wedding dresses.  I had no trouble getting an appointment, and when I got there I was helped by a woman named Suzie.  I wasn't all that excited about trying on a bunch of dresses, but Suzie was bubbly and full of energy, and so excited about weddings, that I couldn't help but feel better about trying dresses on.  She asked me what I liked and didn't like, and let me, my mom and my sister roam the store and pick dresses that we liked, while she pulled ones that she thought I would like.  The dresses were PERFECT and I actually found the one I ended up buying 3 dresses in.  Suzie was extremely helpful in bringing me more dresses similar to the ones I said I liked, while making sure I knew all the different types and fits of dresses.  If I didn't like one type, she didn't push it, and just went right on to get the next one!  Also, I had the last appointment of the day and my appointment definitely went longer than an hour and a half, and Suzie had no problem staying with me even when I wanted to try the same dress on 3 times!

I went to another bridal store about a week later and the service was absolutely horrible, so I came back to Gesinee's and we ended up finding the bridesmaid's dresses as well!  Suzie never pressured me into buying right away, and I came back three times and was never charged for additional appointments.  When I purchased my dress and bridesmaid dresses, Suzie and the rest of the staff went above and beyond in making sure I was happy and I had seen all the color options so I could decide which one I liked best.  I would definitely recommend that my friends or sisters go to Gesinee's when they need to buy their wedding dress.  Melissa

•This place is AWESOME.   I can't wait for my next appointment when my mother is in town.   Their inventory is enormous - you are guaranteed to find something (just be sure to come with an idea of what you are looking for - they have over 3000 gowns from probably 35+ designers).
My bridal consultant was Rosemary - and she was wonderful.  Many years of experience, a good eye for picking gowns, and the perfect way of sharing her opinions.   We arrived at 10 am, and were promptly escorted upstairs to the under $1000 room.   Our consultant was ours alone and thus we had her complete attention.   I loved having the gowns separated by price such that I was not tempted by something out of my range!
I am a quick decider - it doesn't take me long to try on a dress and say "yes" or "no" - because of this and the lengthy appointment time provided by the store, I was able to try on geez, it felt like twenty dresses.
I was looking for a slender a-line WITH STRAPS and had many options.   It's true they have more strapless than non-strapless... but... guess what???   That is true of any salon, strapless is 'in'.
In the end I found three that I had her write down for my next visit.   My favorite was a Venus modified a-line dress with beading on satin.    Lovely!
I am surprised at the negative reviews -  I really had a great time here and would recommend this place to a friend in a heartbeat.  SF from Oakland

• I just got home from my visit to Gesinee's Bridal, and it was definitely a great experience! It was my very first time trying on dresses anywhere, and I don't have to look any further. They have a great selection, great prices (the ones I am considering are all between $550-$780) and great customer service. I highly recommend Teri, but it sounds like many of their consultants are awesome. In the end, I found 3 dresses that I love and I'm going to pick one. I also got a same day appointment. • After a disappointing experience in San Francisco at Bella Bridesmaid, my friend and I went to Gesinee because they have a huge selection of the designer that she was most interested in.

Our consultant, Theresa, was as friendly and helpful as could be.  Before our visit, she offered to pull out dresses that might match what my friend wanted to help move the process along.  She was perky, extremely knowledgeable, listened well, and helped my friend try on dresses in a nicely doting way- making sure the straps were laying properly, using clips to help her get a sense of the dress.... she was just awesome and we left feeling totally happy and satisfied.  And we left with a great dress!!  
I have to say, this store has a huge selection and great service.  Our consultant rocked my world and I'd go back in a heartbeat if I had more friends getting married. Alissa from San Francisco

• Not the same Gesinee's! I think there have been quite a few price changes since the earlier negative reviews because Gesinee's is great now. Elaina was fantastic to work with she helped me pick everything from the top of my head down to my toes! She was fantastically patient and provided great feedback. I particularly appreciated this because I had decided on a family only wedding followed a couple months later by a large reception. My family is all out of town and since I wasn't inviting friends I felt awkward asking them to go dress shopping with me. No problem because Elaina filled in and became my total wedding shopping buddy!

Also, the selection is amazing. I wound up with a Pronovias gown (loved it!!!), but originally wound up there because they were the only store I could find in town that had a sample of the Watters & Watters gown I wanted to try on. They also had a large number of beautiful dresses under $2,000 and were great about helping me stay in the range I was looking.

• I went to a place in Antioch, Paper and Petals, as my first bridal store and was appalled, they treated me awful and made me not even want to pursue looking for a wedding dress that day. My mom thought we should check out our local bridal shop, Gesinee's Bridal. So reluctantly I went. And absolutely LOVED it! I got paired up with a GREAT bridal consultant, Elaina. She spent 2 hours helping me look for the perfect dress and making the experience a fun and memorable one. I found my dream dress and she was great at explaining how the fittings work and how long the dress takes to get shipped out etc. She took her time and didn't rush my mom, my sister and I at all. I went for the first time June 7th and looked forward to going back to get my 2nd appt.! Today was my second appt., I was measured and it was done quickly and very professionally. I am in love with this store and Elaina is excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this store and Elaina to anyone who asked where to go to look for a wedding dress! • After poor service with a local mom-n-pop type bridal salon, I made an appointment with Gesinee's. I was very nervous after reading these reviews, especially because I am a bride-to-be in a powered wheelchair and would be bringing my fiance along to assist me in the dressing rooms. The staff were all very polite and helpful. It was very busy in the salon, but I had three women attending to me at all times -- pulling dresses, lacing up, offering suggestions. They listened to me and were not pushy with anything. ALL decisions were mine. I found the perfect dress and ordered it immediately. Their alterations department came over to the main store and discussed all issues with altering this dress (as I not only sit down all the time, I'm also only 4'7" and will need extensive alterations).

The staff made me feel very comfortable and beautiful, and had no qualms about my fiance being in the back rooms and dressing stall. It was all wheelchair accessible. I would recommend this bridal salon to every bride-to-be. Kendra S. from Berkeley

• I can't believe there are so many horror stories! After going to a fancy Bridal Boutique in The City, it was nice to be helped by a down to earth genuine friendly person, not a snob with her nose stuck in the air! MY consultant TERESA  made and is still making my several visits here stress free and great! I found the dress, jewelry , shoes, and the perfect matching veil on my first visit ! I want to thank you for the wonderful service I received at Gesinee's Bridal. When the time came to look for Bridesmaid dresses, I found a designer and several styles on-line. I emailed three Bay Area bridal boutiques inquiring about the dresses. Gesinee's was the first boutique to reply and was very thorough and helpful. I received the same great service when I came into the store to try on the bridesmaid dresses. Erica had already set aside every single one of the styles I had expressed interest in and was very attentive. Having been impressed with the selection and level of professionalism at Gesinee's, I decided to order my veil there as well. Robin went out of her way to locate a sample of my wedding gown so that we could match the veil perfectly. Erica, Robin and the rest of the staff did a wonderful job of communicating with me on the status of the bridesmaid dresses - several of which needed to be shipped out-of-state. Before visiting Gesinee's I had purchased my wedding gown at another boutique. I was devastated when the gown arrived at the other store three sizes too large. You and your alterations staff did a wonderful job assuring me that the dress could be fixed and did a truly amazing job on the alterations. My bridal gown fit perfectly and I felt comfortable on my wedding day because it fit so well. During the ten month process of planning my wedding I visited countless bridal boutiques. Dear Gesinee and Ladies,

My sincerest THANKS to all of you who helped rescue me from my near-wedding dress disaster! We are finally back from our honeymoon & have our pictures back.
